About
Peter Mac
Born and bred Jersey man. Familiar voice on Channel 103. Candidate for Deputy in District 3.
I am standing because I care deeply about this very special part of Jersey and the people who call it home.
Why I'm standing
St John, St Lawrence and Trinity each have their own individual character, history and rhythm of life, and yet all three share something valuable: strong communities, parish pride and a real sense of belonging. Those qualities are worth cherishing. They are part of what makes this Island such a remarkable place to live, and they deserve to be respected, protected and given a strong voice.
I believe Jersey can move forward with greater confidence, clarity and purpose. We already have so much in our favour: talent, resilience, community spirit and a shared determination to do better. Good politics should bring those strengths together, turn ambition into action and deliver practical results that make a real difference to everyday life.
I want to help build a Jersey where young people can thrive and prosper, where families have a chance of finding a decent affordable home, where older Islanders feel secure, respected and able to live with dignity and independence, and where Government serves the public efficiently, wisely and well.
My values
Fairness. Common sense. Value for money. Delivery. Accountability.
Above all, I promise to be accessible, honest and hard-working. I will listen carefully, speak plainly and stay focused on what matters: making life work better for islanders.
Why this platform
A campaign website that only talks at you is a missed opportunity. Team Mac is built around the idea that listening is at least as important as speaking. Share a concern. Suggest an idea. Ask a question. See what others are saying. Read what I'm doing about it. Hold me to it.
And after the campaign — win or lose — the platform stays. Jersey deserves a place to talk about local life that isn't a comments thread on someone else's app.
